Another Image by Jenny Saville, this time a painting. I had a critique with a professor yesterday and I was pointed, once again, in the direction of Saville’s work. This time I am interested in the way she invades the viewers personal space. In this image I am almost too close to these women. The composition is odd as it is but the proximity makes it all the more uncomfortable. I am doing self portraits in my studio work and I am hoping to use this element of space invasion that Saville has so cleverly mastered.
